UPDATED! Taylor Swift 112 Days Theory: There Will Be No Explanation, Just reputation (Taylor’s Version)

Sharing is caring!

The true baptism into Swiftianity comes from participating in your first Clowning (Taylor’s Version). What’s clowning? That’s when you take a trip to Delululand and connect all the strings (that may or may not exist!) to fit your narrative while looking for Easter eggs. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, stick around. I’ll explain some Taylor Swift Easter egg lore and why so many of us believe that in 112 days from today, “There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation” (Taylor’s Version).

Taylor Swift And Easter Eggs: She’s A Mastermind

You may think of Taylor Swift as a 12-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, country-turned-pop artist, or maybe the newest member of Chiefs Kingdom, but Taylor is more than all that.

Taylor is also a literal mastermind in hiding clues for her fans to find, and she’s been doing it her whole career.

In an interview with The Washington Post Taylor said, “When I was 15 and putting together my first album, I decided to encode the lyrics with hidden messages using capital letters. That’s how it started, and my fans and I have since descended into color coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate hints, and Easter eggs.”

Suppose you happen to be a big fan of Disney Pixar or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In that case, you’re already familiar with “Easter eggs” or clues sprinkled throughout the films. Fans love to find the connections hidden in the movies as callbacks, throwbacks, or hints of things to come.

Loving those hidden messages and sneak peeks can bring a fandom together.

We’ll never find them all.

But as a fandom, you can bet we’ll try to decode every new social media caption, photo, or outfit she wears- even down to the polish on her nails. And nothing has been a bigger topic then figuring out when Tay will drop her latest re-recorded albums.

The latest theory and easter egg to take hold of Swifties is the 112 days from today theory: reputation (Taylor’s Version) is coming. What does that mean, exactly? We’re gonna talk about it.

1, 2, 3… let’s go b!tch!

Is reputation (Taylor’s Version) Coming?

Taylor so much as told us her plan when she started re-recording all her stolen music.

Six albums were stolen and sold out from underneath her, so she’s re-recording each of them one by one.

Want to start off with an Easter egg? All that’s left is for Taylor to reclaim her reputation and her name. She’s re-released all the other albums in her early catalog with two left.

  • reputation (Taylor’s Version)
  • the debut album, Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)

So yes, reputation (TV) is coming. The question is when?

That’s where the 112 days from today theory comes into play.

What is the Taylor Swift 112-Day Theory?

First off, a disclaimer.

I did NOT create or cultivate this theory in any way.

Most fans credit TikTok creator Nikki King for starting us down this path. And if you need another rabbit hole to go down, check out this list of Taylor Swift TikTok creators who seem to have their own thoughts on all things Taylor (and Travis Kelce, of course!).

What Does 112 Days From Today Mean?

First of all, this is a numerology thing. This is absolutely NOT my “thing,” but a basic Google search gave me this definition:

112 is an angel number that means new beginnings or new opportunities will present themselves to you.

While 112 days from today may not mean something for everyone out there, it does seem to line up for Taylor Swift when putting it in context for Taylor to re-claim her work as she goes through the Eras Tour.

And truly, Swifties can pick any day and add 112 days and make it make sense. Sometimes it feels like that’s what we’ve been doing all year!

How Does the 112 Days Theory Line Up For reputation (Taylor’s Version)?

Here’s where the clowning and the visit to Delululand converge.

Over the course of the past year, I’ve seen so many dates given for this album to drop. And thus far, every single one of them has been wrong.

And truthfully, the one I’m sharing here may also be wrong. But the numbers are adding up and I can’t help but get my hopes up. Again.

New Swifties probably learned pretty quickly that Taylor’s lucky number is 13. So let’s start here.

1+12 = 13 OR 11 + 2 = 13 (112, see it?)

Taylor also met the man who ultimately stole her music on 11/2/2004. Another 112 sliding into the TS Easter egg lore.

112 of her songs on six albums were stolen from her.

112 days from today: Taylor Swift 112 day theory 22 song letters.

Taylor’s played with this number on tour before. There are more examples out there, but here are a couple for you to get an idea:

  • In Minneapolis on June 23, 2023, she played the surprise song “If This Was a Movie” from Fearless (Taylor’s Version). 112 days from that day: The Eras Movie was released in theaters.
  • During the song “22,” Taylor wears different shirts, with some letters highlighted in red. When rearranging all the letters and numbers, you get “ONE TWELVE REAVER.” What does reaver mean? According to Merriam-Webster, it means to plunder or rob. This seemingly confirmed the 112 songs that were stolen from her.
  • The Eras Tour starts with a clock counting down from 2:24, with Lesley Gore’s classic “You Don’t Own Me” as the last song before Taylor takes the stage. 224 / 2 = 112

Then there’s this timeline that seems to be backing up the 112-days theory.

  • 3/17/23 the Eras Tour began
  • 112 days later…
  • 7/7/23 Speak Now (TV) is released
  • 112 days later…
  • 10/27/23 1989 (TV) released
  • 112 days later…
  • 2/16/24 is the rumored date for reputation (Taylor’s Version) to be released in Melbourne, Australia. (some Swifties also lean towards 2/24 in Sydney as a possible date- see clock theory above).

Taylor’s last post about the Eras Tour was written on Instagram on November 28, 2023.

This caption has 112 words in it.

112 days from today could be the day Reputation TV drops.

The Karma coffee cup as a clock has been wildly circulated.

The fingernail polish- blue at the 8 o’clock position and black at the 2 o’clock position- indicated an August 1989 (TV) announcement (which happened) and a possible February rep (TV) announcement.

112 days from today is a theory that reputation tv is coming.

Many are theorizing that Taylor will announce reputation (TV) in Tokyo on her last show.

That’s happening on February 9, 2024.

Why Tokyo? It’s where the End Game music video was filmed (a track on reputation) and where she ended the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018.

The current theory is that she will announce the album in Tokyo on February 9, but it will be released on February 16, 2024.

For those counting, yes, that’s 112 days from the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October.

Is REP TV Coming 112 Days From Today? Only Taylor Knows!

As you can see, the clowning for Taylor Swift re-release dates can get pretty intense! It can also get carried away and pretty much every day could literally be counted out as 112 days from today if you wanted it to.

But I think the Taylor Swift 112 days theory cannot be denied, and if Blondie keeps to this schedule, we should be hearing about REPUTATION (TV) very soon!
