About Agylle (2024)
The greater the spy, the bigger the lie.
From the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass) comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller.
Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
Accompanied by Aidan (Oscar® winner Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

Age Rating of Argylle: Is It Safe For Teens When It Comes To Sex, Romance, and Nudity?
There isn’t any actual sex or nudity in Argylle, but there is sexual dialogue.
Characters kiss and perform sexy dance moves, including one called the whirlybird, which involves a man lifting a woman so her crotch is in his face.
Overall, it doesn’t rate high on the sexual content outside of the dialogue at points.
Violence and Gore: Is Argylle Too Scary For Kids Under 13?
This is a thriller; as such, there is a lot of action and violence in the movie.
We wouldn’t call it gory or gross, but there are scenes with martial arts, knives, and guns, with explosions also happening.
Hand-to-hand fighting and some torture occur.
One scene involves a character learning how to crush a scull by foot, so, it’s not super innocent!
Very little blood is shown, however.
Deaths occur throughout, and a cat is placed in peril at times. Don’t worry- cats always have at least 9 lives and this one is no different.
Is Argylle Ok For Kids: Mature Topics
There is a scene with suicide where a character dies after taking a posion on purpose.
Depression, anxiety and mental health are also touched upon in the movie.
Characters are also seen drinking some alcohol and discussing how “alcohol can help.” Some light references to drug use as well.
Parents Guide: Is Appropriate For Kids Under 13?
As always, you know your kids best.
We think most kids who are into thriller movies and spy shows can handle this one. It’s not particularly bloody which helps, though the language may give some parents pause.
If that’s not your issue, then we think kids ages 9 and up can probably enjoy Argylle in the theaters.
