About Migration
The Mallard family is in a bit of rut.
While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids—teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen—the whole wide world.
After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica.
As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, while teaching them more about each other—and themselves—than they ever imagined.

Migration Age Rating: What Ages Can Really Watch This One?

Age Rating of Migration: Parents Guide (7 Big Things)
Can your kids watch this one? What is the age rating of Migration?
This parent’s guide will help you decide if your family can handle the seven big issues with movies and shows: mature topics, gore, violence, language, sex, romance, and nudity. We’ll also give the Migration age rating and age-appropriate recommendations.

Language
The good news is that this one has no fowl or even foul language. (Dad jokes, amirite?)
There are some mild insults like
- stupid
- trashy
- omgosh
- psycho
- heck
used in them movie. Pretty mild, however.

Age Rating of Migration: Is It Safe For Kids When It Comes To Sex, Romance, and Nudity?
It’s a solid family film on this level with no sex or nudity in the movie.
It’s about birds, so, yeah.
The short before the movie is called Mooned and there are some shots of underwear, but not in a sexual manner.
Violence and Gore: Is Migration Too Scary For Kids Under 6?
There’s some action and adventure as the birds take flight on their trip, which you might expect with this kind of “fish out of water” story.
A dead fish skeleton is shown. Knives are also shown in this movie.
There is talk about death and dying as well as birds being killed by cars.
There is no blood or gore in Migration, so it’s not too scary for most kids.

Is Migration Ok For Kids: Mature Topics
You’ll get some potty humor in this one with jokes about pee and poop.
The short before the movie also involves drinking alcoholic drinks.
Parents Guide: Is Migration Appropriate For Kids Under 6?
As always, you know your kids best.
I think this movie is pretty solid for kids ages 3 and up who are good with sitting in theaters and watching movies. It’s along the lines of Minions movies, in my option, as far as holding attention. (But of course, without the charm of multiple yellow friends running around!)
It’s fine and most kids ages 3-12 would enjoy it if you need to get them out of the house this holiday season.
