Age Rating of YOU On Netflix: Is It Safe For Teens When It Comes To Sex, Romance, and Nudity?

Nope.

Your kids will see nudity in You, including a full front image of a man’s penis.

There are scenes of masturbation and sex, including sexual kinks like being peed on during the act.

YOU is definitely a mature show when it comes to sexual content.

Violence and Gore: Is YOU Too Scary For Kids Under 17?

Well, Joe IS a serial killer. So there’s that.

If you’ve seen any of the previous seasons, you’ll see similar violence and gore in Season 4 of You on Netflix.

There is blood, there are scenes of death, and there are scenes of cleaning up after a death occurs. This includes cutting up body parts.

A character is also mugged, though that seems to be one of the less problematic issues with the show when it comes to violence.

Is Ok For Kids: Mature Topics

Characters are shown drinking to excess and blacking out.

Characters use drugs as well.

Joe stalks women he obsesses over. If your teen has had any issues with unwanted attention in the past, this could be a trigger for them.

Parents Guide: Is Season 4 of YOU on Netflix Appropriate For Kids Under 17?

We’re going to say no unless your family is incredibly permissive with sexual content.

We’d stick with 17 and up for the YOU series on Netflix.

If you have a teen who digs horror, this will appeal to them as Joe is a hard character to hate (it’s true, we’re sorry to say it!). But there is quite a bit of nudity and sexual content that may be a stopping issue for your family.
