Best of the Avenge the Fallen Memes

Along with the rest of the world, I’m counting down the days until Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters. And no, I’m probably NOT ready for this- as evidenced by my reaction to the Avenge the Fallen posters released yesterday. Yup, I cried. But then… the internet came through as it always does and turned the posters into Avenge the Fallen Memes.

Guys… I cannot even with people sometimes. Just when I’m ready to become a hermit in someplace really remote, the internet saves the day and pulls me back in.

I’ve been working on this Marvel movie marathon by watching the Marvel movies in order. Gearing up to watch Infinity War again, though, is killing me.

The internet knows that sometimes things just HAVE to be done.

Like taking this:

That’s right: the Avenge the Fallen Meme has been created. And it brought a lot of levity to a pretty heavy day for the Marvel movie fans.

Avenge the Fallen Posters

First lets look at some of these Avengers: Endgame Avenge the Fallen posters.

Go ahead and get someone to hold, or punch, or a stiff drink to get through some of these. Because: whoa.

We learned quickly the fate of some of our favorites from the MCU: if your poster was in color, you lived. In black and white: you were SNAPPED by Thanos.

Cheers went up to see

Pepper Potts, Tony Stark and even Happy survived. Team Stark remains in tact.

While Pepper is not my favorite character in the MCU, I’m kinda hopeful that there’s a baby Iron Man coming along because I do love babies and someone needs to carry on!

So I’m good seeing her face in color. Phew- there’s still hope. Which is exactly what Marvel is doing to us, you know.

Dangle something out there – just to rip it all away during the 3 hour and 2 minute runtime of Avengers: Endgame. (yup, that’s right- 3 hours and 2 minutes! EEPPP!!!)

But confirmation from Wakanda brought the opposite reaction.

Big, heavy, sigh and a lot of NOOOOO… because:

DANG y’all… who’s leading Wakanda now?

Because also in black in white with one of the harshest loses from the end of the movie is the Black Panther himself, T’challa.

Disney fans: you know those deaths we all cry over every single time?

Welp. Someone felt the need to Avenge them with these Pixar and Disney Avenge the Fallen Memes.

Other Pop Culture icons were not spared.

Game of Thrones even got in on the act: guys, Winter IS HERE.

I’ve read the books, I’ve watched each season (over and over) and … I cannot wait for this final season of one of the most mind blowing series ever!

We also got a little sentimental over here.

Will Stan Lee ever be forgotten? Nope.

There’s just no way. And he wasn’t left out in the Avenge the Marvel Memes either.

Marvel fans know how to throw some shade too.

And they are not thrilled with some of the recent announcements that have come out from Netflix.

All those binge worthy Marvel shows? Gone.

But not before getting the Avenge the Fallen Meme treatment, of course!

This one: well, it might have gotten the biggest reaction from me when I saw it.

I love love love LOVE Don Cheadle in everything, but especially as Rhodey opposite of Robert Downey, Jr’s Iron Man.

But he was not the OG Rhodey. Terrance Howard was. And yep, he got an Avenge the Fallen Meme.

So did the original Hulk, Ed Norton.
