About A Quiet Place 2
In A Quiet Place, the Abbott family was just trying to stay alive.
After finding a way to defeat the monsters at the end of that movie, the Abbott family searches for fellow survivors in A Quiet Place 2. This means leaving home and venturing into the unknown.
This sequel holds up to the brillance of the original, and releasing it only in theaters was the right move.
The action is swift even when the characters are moving slowly and performances are absolutely intense.

Is A Quiet Place 2 Safe For Kids? Parent Movie Guide and Review
Please note: this movie is rated PG-13 for violence and terror reasons.
And that’s pretty accurate if you want to go with that age guideline to determine if your child can watch this movie. And if they saw the first movie, they should be ok with seeing this sequel.
While you know your child best, here are some reasons that may help you decide if A Quiet Place 2 is safe for kids in your family.
Violence
You’ve got a lot of violence to consider in this movie.
Monsters that hunt people down and rip them apart are not going to be the most kid-friendly source of entertainment!
Guns are used by adults and children in this movie.
There are deaths that happen on screen and there is blood and gore to go with it.
One moment that was pretty jarring includes a character’s leg being caught in a bear trap. We get enough of the scene to really feel the impact of the moment and it’s super intense.
Is A Quiet Place 2 Scary For Kids?
The movie is scary for ANYONE, to be honest.
But if you’ve seen the first one, you know what to expect here.
There is a lot of tension and plenty of jump scares in the 90+ minutes of A Quiet Place 2 that may be too scary for kids under the age of 14 to handle.
There’s also a baby that is essentially in jeopardy the entire movie, so a sensitive child may feel that A Quiet Place 2 is not safe for them to watch emotionally.
Language in A Quiet Place 2
There’s not a lot of dialoge in the movie, period.
But what is shared is fairly kid-friendly in a Quiet Place 2, especially if you consider it is a PG-13 movie.
The language used in A Quiet Place 2 includes the use of d-mmit and JC, but that was all we were able to pick up.
Sex
There is no sex or nudity in A Quiet Place 2.
What Ages Can Watch A Quiet Place 2?
We think sticking with 14 and up is a good age range for this movie.
Kids younger than 14 may find it intense and a bit gory.
