About Hawkeye On Disney+
Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero.
The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, “Hawkeye” also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.

Is Hawkeye OK For Kids? Parent Movie Review
There is something about a superhero movie that kids just love.
And by kids: I mean kids 3 to 99 because let’s be real: the adults are just as big of fans as the children!
Kate Bishop is probably a new superhero character for your kids and we think she is AWESOME.
And, of course, getting more Hawkeye is always a good thing!
And because this is the next big installment in the Marvel Movies in order, they are probably asking if kids can see this show on Disney+.
In this parent movie guide and review, we’ll cover the language, violence, sex, and nudity levels in the movie to help you decide if the Hawkeye series is kid-friendly.
We’ll also talk about the TV-14 rating and how that may affect your decision on what ages Hawkeye is appropriate for.
Is Hawkeye Ok For Kids: Language
Hawkeye is not too bad on the language scale, more like typical MCU fare.
If your family is OK watching other Marvel movies and shows, they should be good to go with this one.
We are basing this review on the first 2 episodes, so things may change as the series progresses. But for now, here’s the language count in Hawkeye:
Your kids will hear a few minor swear words like sh!t, H@ll, and d@mmit. There is also the use of my g-d, oh my g-d, and Jesus as well.
There are also uses of phrases like d@uchebag and idiot.
Violence: What Ages Can Watch Hawkeye?
The violence in Hawkeye is similar to previous Avengers movies.
Bows and arrows, explosions, swords, and guns are all used throughout the show.
It’s a fairly action-packed show when it comes to fight scenes, so be aware that there will be death and destruction in this one.
If your family has concerns with weapons, this one may not be the show to watch since that’s kinda the whole thing: bows and arrows abound!
There’s also a scene where a dog is kicked and heard yelping in the background. He also runs out into traffic and is in peril for a bit (no worries, he’s safe!).
Kids sensitive to animal cruelty just need a heads up on this one!
So what ages can watch Hawkeye? We think ages 9 and up are ok for watching Hawkeye.
Ages 7 and below could also watch the Hawkeye series if your kids have seen the other MCU movies without issue.
Sex and Nudity In Hawkeye
Hawkeye is safe for kids on this scale!
So far there is no nudity or sex in Hawkeye, making this a kid-friendly Marvel show on that scale.
Is Hawkeye Too Scary For Kids?
Not to keep repeating things, but this is by far the most MCU-typical Marvel show on Disney+ so far.
If the other Marvel shows and movies are ok for your kids, this one will not be too scary either.
What Does TV-14 Means For Hawkeye?
Ultimately, Hawkeye is getting this rating for violence and language.
There are some adult themes (a parent dies, big violent fights, deaths, and discussing grief) that will also play into this rating.
We feel much of the language could have been removed to try for a PG rating, but toning down the action sequences would have been harder to do.
