It’s Happening! Avengers: Endgame Beats (One of) Avatar’s Records
The GIF below accurately portrays my excitement levels right now. Because, y’all, fangirl with me on this: it’s happening! Avengers: Endgame Beats (One of) Avatar’s Records.
Yup, it’s happening.
Even though I mentioned on the No-Guilt Fangirls Podcast today that Avengers: Endgame fell out of the top 10 at the box office, it still made enough to make a difference.
Endgame’s worldwide box office total hit at $2,749,603,966 over the weekend.

And that, my friends, surpasses James Cameron’s Avatar original theatrical run. Avatar earned $2,749,064,328 before it had a re-release.
Avengers: Endgame is now only $38.3 million away from passing Avatar’s lifetime total.
And guys: we’re getting that Avengers: Endgame re-release with end credits and extra scenes soon.
That record that Avatar has held for oh so long? It’s about to go down.
Superhero fatique? I don’t think so.
