In Our Taylor Swift Era
Okay, to be fair… I’ve been in this era for, well, ERAS now.
I’ve rocked with Ms. Taylor Alison Swift since her country days and her original song “Tim McGraw” – and have no plans to stop any time soon.
And as a Gen Xer, I’m raising my kids to be baby Swiftie fans too!
In fact, if you’re looking for tips on taking kids to the Eras Tour, this is the guide for you.
While the Swifty Love Story (a number 1 lead single title, btw!) is mostly written in inspirational quotes and song lyrics, I also gotta admit that I love to see her cameo on tv shows, acting in her music videos, and show up on the big screen.
She just has a presence, you know?
And any true Swiftie knows that you gotta support the Taylor Swift acting career as much as her music!
Unless you’re Scooter Braun, then, well, we know that dude ain’t supporting her at all (and never really did- but that’s another story altogether!).

Taylor Swift’s Acting Career: TV Roles and Cameos
The fun thing about Taylor is that you never know where she’ll pop up next!
These TV roles and cameos are additions to the Taylor Swift acting career resume.
Here’s where you can find her in some of our favorite tv shows:
- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation- Haley Jones (1 episode in 2009) The New York Times said this character of Haley Jones allowed Swift to be “a little bit naughty, and credibly so”. Rolling Stone also approved saying she “held her own” and “does a good job with the script,” while the Chicago Tribune said she “acquits herself well”.
- 2009 MTV Movie Awards Forks High School Student Skit
- 2009 Host and Musical Guest – Saturday Night Life
- New Girl- Elaine (1 episode in 2013)
- Saturday Night Live- November 2021 Three Sad Vigins skit starring Pete Davidson and Please Don’t Destroy.
I’m going to hold out hope that the next Taylor Swift movie we see is a big-screen version of her Eras Tour.
Because that show is amazing- and watching it every weekend on TikTok live streams just isn’t cutting it.
