In this all new movie we find Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with “scream time.”
To reclaim their bond they decide to cram Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation.
Their adventure across America takes them out of their element and into hilarious run-ins with their iconic cousin, IT, as well as many new kooky characters. What could possibly go wrong?

Is The Addams Family 2 Safe For Kids? Parent Movie Review
The Addams Family has been around for quite a while, spooking their way through generations of kids’ hearts.
The sequel to the 2019 Addams Family is here and your kids will be asking to see it.
Here’s what you need to know about the movie to help decide if The Addams Family 2 is safe for your kids, and what ages should be able to enjoy this one.
Why Is The Addams Family 2 Rated PG?
Addams Family 2 is rated PG for macabre and spooky, rude humor, violence, and language.
We’ll break those down in this parent movie review.
Language In Addams Family 2
Wednesday Addams has the best quotes in Addams Family 2, and she does throw a lot of insults around, as usual.
Her dry humor will likely fly past most young kids, but those that do catch it will think it’s funny.
Insults are the main issue from a language standpoint as there were not any cuss or swears that we caught in our screening.
Is Addams Family 2 Too Scary For Kids? Violence & Scare Factor
Assuming your family is familiar with The Addams Family already (ie, this is a scary but not too scary kids horror genre), The Addams Family 2 isn’t too scary for most kids to watch from a violence or scare standpoint.
Yes, they’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious, and spooky, but not what most kids would see as scary.
The peril the family finds themselves in will include high-speed chases and being pushed from the edge of a waterfall.
If your kids have seen any type of Road-Runner cartoon in the past, then this violence level shouldn’t be too concerning.
There are some scary-looking characters and a biker gang that might have some kids on edge until their softer sides are shown and the tables quickly turn.
What Ages Can Watch Addams Family 2?
As always, you know your kids best.
The Addams Family 2 is a fun and sometimes silly story about finding your place within your own family.
There really isn’t too much to be concerned about for younger kids with this movie, assuming they like the spooky & creepy life of the Addams Family. If they scare easily or are not fans of Halloween-time, then maybe skip this one until they are a bit older.
This movie should be ok for kids (with parent approval!) ages 6 and up.
