PLEASE Wash Your Hands When You Pee During West Side Story (2021)
I know, I know: but now you’ve been Momm’ed.
This info is super helpful for those who, like me, have a super small bladder. (Or if you bring those kiddos with smaller bladders with you to the movies.)
And West Side Story is going to be a long one to sit through without any bathroom breaks!
You don’t want to miss a moment of the action, songs, and romance that this emotional movie provides.
But please remember, especially in this day and age, to give that 20-second hand wash to whatever song floats your boat before you rush back into the theater.
When Can You Pee During West Side Story (2021)?
When you head into the theater to watch this gorgeous film on the biggest screen you can find, knowing when you can pee during West Side Story will save you from missing precious plot points or musical numbers.
And there are a lot of emotional moments you won’t want to miss in this one.
And the music!
WHOA these young adults can sing & dance, y’all!
West Side Story is a long movie, so be prepared to make at least one exit unless you have a bladder of steel.
Here are some suggested times to run, go pee and plan those bathroom breaks during West Side Story.
- 20 minutes after Riff leaves the basement- but this is a good Rita Moreno scene, so you may want to stick around until Riff leaves the pharmacy
- 24 minutes during Tony’s song. We know, we know! We try not to miss any of the songs in musicals, but this one is the weakest performance in the show. If you gotta go, go when Tony starts singing.
- 32 minutes- there’s a long dance sequence here. It’s stunning, but if you need to make a break, you can get out and back without missing too much plot!
- 42 minutes when they leave the dance
- 55 minutes when Tony leaves and Maria sleeps
- 1 hour 10 minutes when they get on the subway
- 1 hour 15 minutes during the Jets song in the police station. It’s a long one, it’s meh, so if you need to break free before the rest of the movie, this is your move.
- 1 hour 44 minutes after everyone leaves the rumble. Make this one quick, though!
